Automatic transfer of wood chips and biomass
Heizomat wood chip discharge systems automatically transfer wood chips from the fuel storage area to the boiler system.
The discharge system collects fuel from storage and transfers it in a controlled manner using, for example, a screw conveyor, chain conveyor or another conveying system.
The system can be designed according to the site, fuel storage configuration and fuel being used.

Automatic wood chip feeding from fuel storage to the boiler
The performance of a wood chip heating system depends on more than the boiler alone. Fuel storage, discharge and transfer are also essential parts of a functional system.
An automatic discharge system transfers wood chips from fuel storage to the boiler feeding system without continuous manual handling.
Factors affecting the selection of the appropriate discharge and conveying system include:

Articulated-arm discharge system for wood chips and biomass
The Heizomat articulated-arm discharge system is designed for automatically discharging wood chips and other suitable biomass from fuel storage.
The articulated arms move the fuel towards the feeding system, from where the material is transported onwards to the boiler.
Heizomat’s patented parallel control system for the articulated arms reduces loads on the arms, drive system and surrounding structures while enabling consistent material feeding from storage.
Articulated-arm discharge systems are suitable for storage areas approximately 1–6 metres in diameter and filling heights of up to 10 metres.

Push-floor discharge system
The Heizomat push-floor discharge system is based on a hydraulically operated moving floor.
It is particularly suitable for large rectangular wood chip storage facilities.
The push bars move the wood chips step by step along the floor towards the discharge channel. The automation system controls the operation and maintains consistent fuel feeding.
The Heizomat push-floor system can be designed for storage areas up to approximately 8 metres wide and 14 metres long, with a maximum filling height of approximately 4 metres.
