Mr Kimmo Tiilikainen, the Minister of Energy, Environment and Housing of Finland visited Volter at Tupos on 3rd December 2018 to discuss internationalization and business development challenges and opportunities of Finnish SME’s in the energy sector.

Mr Kimmo Tiilikainen, Finnish Minister of Energy, Environment and Housing visited Volter, with him were Tuomas Ahola, Laura Eräpuro-Piila and Matti Lauhikari from Volter

He was received at Volter by Mr Tuomas Ahola, Chairman of the Board of Volter as well as Laura Eräpuro-Piila, the Vice President and Director of Operations and Matti Lauhikari, Director of After Sales.

Laura Eräpuro-Piila commented on the visit ” networking and internalization are very important for SME’s. This kind of high level discourse is especially critical in the renewable energy sector which is experiencing very rapid growth while simultaneously developing its maturity in terms of customer awareness and technology solutions while at the same time supported by various incentive systems”

Bioenergy is estimated to cover as much as 50% of the EU level primary energy production by 2050 and is especially important in northern countries due to the high demand for renewable heat which cannot reasonable be provided by photovoltaic and wind derived sources in northern conditions.

This target requires significant coordination and support on both national and EU level. The push for this development is dependent on industry organizations as well as key players and forerunners within the field.

Team Volter is very grateful for the opportunity to meet the Minister of Energy and wishes Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all the companies in the renewable energy sector.
